I’ve followed a guide to defining and setting custom resolution using xrandr, but it doesn’t seem to be working properly. Light-weight programs seem to run reasonably, as long as you have a little patience mostly when you first open them. You cannot add mode that is bigger than your screen, if you want bigger desktop you can only do this in framebuffer –fb option. Best of luck Cheers. I believe that the virtual screen size of x would suite my purposes, but anything with at least larger y-axis would be suitable. Usually Jbuntu just start a VNC connection to my desktop. If it is not in the man pages or the how-to’s this is the place! Are you new to LinuxQuestions.
